Oil-pressing machines
Greece holds the third place in the world olive production, with more than 160 million trees, while 80% of the Greek tree plantations consist of olive trees. The total areas in which olive trees are cultivated are 10 million hectares, while the average annual production of the olive fruit is 400,000 tons. The main olive growing areas in Greece are the southern and central regions of the country, as well as the coastal zones and the islands. 65% of Greek olive products are produced in the Peloponnese, while the next most important cultivation areas are Crete and the Aegean and Ionian islands.
Since the production of olive oil is a significantly large sector of the agricultural economy of the country, the production of machinery for the collection of olives has also developed. The manufacturers are Greek as well as Italian factories.
The main categories of oil harvesting machines are divided as follows:
Oil dipper collection rods
Here are classified all the rods-machines that consist of a fixed or telescopic pole, have a motor that gives movement and a head that "hits" the fruit so that it falls from the tree and is collected.
Heads in front can be in various shapes as below:
Urchin: rotary & pulsating movement on two balls made of special material that does not injure trees. The sea urchin can consist of soft fingers that have a ball or a cross at the end to better grip the wrist. But it can also consist of two spheres that accept 32 independent carbon sticks, which also do not injure the fruit and the tree and in case of wear you change the sticks that have been corroded by use. It is made in Greece by the SIK Kyriakakis factory.

Urchin 4X4: This is a new type of urchin, which consists of 32 interchangeable carbon rods and which, however, gives movement to each head separately. It is about independent movement of each sphere. It is new, very efficient and of course always with respect to the tree & the fruit. It is made in Greece by the SIK Kyriakakis factory.

Coupépe: this is the most well-known head on the market, it is straight up, it consists of 10 sets of 2 teeth which move left and right alternately, making the movement of the hand reminiscent of a coupépe. It is made in Greece by the SIK Kyriakakis factory.
Check it out here:
Carbon heads: consist of straight carbon rods that swing left and/or up and down. They are usually lighter and reserved for neat and cleaned olives. They are mainly Italian made, ZANON factory but also Greek SIK Kyriakakis.
The poles of the SIK Kyriakakis oil-sticking machines are made of aluminum but you can also choose the special carbon material which is much lighter (which is very important for long hours of use!). They have a fixed length which, together with the motor and the head, is 2.4 meters. You can also buy them in a fixed total length of 2, 3 or 3.5 meters! In addition there is an extra 1 meter extension so you can add and remove it depending on the trees you have to work with.
The poles of the Italian factories Zanon & Volpi are mostly telescopic with a length of 2 to 3.5 meters but also carbon so as not to burden the operator!
The motors of the Greek oil press machines are 12Volt and can work: a) with a generator-dynamo that produces 12Volt (see below for the generators), b) with a current transformer that transforms the current of the house which is 220V to 12V, c) with battery (after using a special motor for battery. ATTENTION, you must specify this when purchasing the machine!).
The motors of the Italian carbon oil dipsticks are 15-34V and it is recommended to work exclusively from a battery!
Finally, there are oil dipstick heads with carbon sticks which work from an air compressor! You fit your air compressor with a pole that works for you, fixed or telescopic, and then the head you have chosen as suitable for your needs. The biggest houses we work with are the Italian factories ZANON & LISAM. These are the air oilers that you can see here:
Generators-dynamos of oil rigs
This is a Greek-made generator set which consists of a transport cart with the body of the 70Amber generator integrated into it, which is driven by an engine of your choice from our wide range: Interpower, HONDA, Mitsubishi, Briggs&Stratton, etc., which produces a current of 12-28 Volts.
Depending on the model, it can supply 1-4 oil dipsticks, it has a rheostat to adjust the rotation of the sticks, it is possible to charge 12 batteries
