Winemaking has been an occupation in Greece since ancient times, where many types of wine are produced from grapes, but also from other fruits. It is a professional process by large wineries in the country, but each one of us who has vines in his field, estate, house, can make his own barrel of wine!
The process of wine production includes the following stages: pressing of the grapes, separation of the grapes from the branches, alcoholic fermentation of the must and stems, separation of must from the stems, maturation and aging.
Depending on the duration of extraction, i.e. the time it remains in a tank, the wines are separated into young wines and wines intended for aging.
